• Byrd Cellars Vineyard Established in 2008 Byrd Cellars is a collaboration of three Goochland neighbors who had a passion for Virginia wines and a vision and dream to make them. We have three vineyards in Goochland: Celebration Vineyards on Davis Mill Road, Lower Byrd Farm Vineyard and Rassawek Vineyard both located on River Road West. Located in scenic southwestern Goochland County we are a new farm winery. Our tasting room is now open on weekends year round and by appointment.
  
  Our wines are crafted beginning in our vineyards. We grow several varieties of American, European, and hybrid grapes with careful attention to the soils and climate unique to the James River/Piedmont environment. Using environmentally friendly farming practices, we nurture our grapes every season, harvesting in the fall and producing wines distinctly labeled Virginia. Our great wine begins with the vines.
  
  
  
• Wind Song Winery WindSong Farm is 90 acres nestled in the western section of Goochland County. This 90 acre parcel was a part of the Young America Gold Mining Company property which originally consisted of 308 acres. Gold was panned from the creek and taken from deep shaft mines in the early 1900’s. The first three sections of the original property are privately owned by a descendent of Mr. Theodor Kuntzen, who resides there today. Mine shafts still exist on various parts of the property, although most have been filled in. Gold flakes can still be panned in the creek running through our property, but you do not want to quit your day job.
  
  
• Rassawek Spring Jubilee A new event is debuting in Goochland! The Rassawek Spring Jubilee is a two-day celebration that will showcase the cultural, musical, agrarian and artistic traditions that are the heart and heritage of Goochland County. The Rasaswek Spring Jubilee will feature a variety of activities and demonstrations designed to connect Goochland's unique rustic past with its current crafts, talents and commerce.
  
  The Rassawek Spring Jubilee will take place on May 21 and 22 and will feature a jam-packed music stage, fascinating Virginia traditional arts demonstrations, unique youngster activities and delicious wine tastings throughout the day. The event also boasts a fishing contest in the many lakes on the property, wholesome food provided by local producers and farmers, and dozens of gifted artists and antique vendors.
